Touch is a form of communication. As such, it carries a message. This message is native to India, 5000 or more years ago, in a Tantric context where massage was born within the family group. The mother massaged her lover and children, to give them love, warmth, pleasure and care, and to help them relax and maintain their health.
In India you can still see this going on as a daily routine. Nowadays, massage has turned into an answer to the needs of stressed people, responding to the crazy and fast world we live in: we all need a good massage every now and then to release tension, toxins, to relax the body and mind. Ayurvedic massage opens and releases deep connective tissues, as well as it helps to release trapped emotions and feelings. Tailored to the individual, Ayurvedic massage can be used either to strengthen the system or to help clean and to reduce excess in the system.
My goal as an Ayurvedic Massage therapist is to bring radiant health and wellness to the patient's life while addressing their unique needs. This type of massage will help your body restore and relax by offering time-tested natural therapies from the 5000 years old Ayurvedic philosophy.
The ideal time for this massage is 90 minutes, though I can always adapt to the patient's needs or schedule.
I suggest having an Ayurvedic Consultation with me before going for the massage, so as to determine the patient's Bio-type, and then apply a specific oil regarding the patient's unique characteristics.
The massage will take place on a thin mattress on the floor, we use medicated oils, (for each Ayurvedic Bio-type there is an oil that is better, and we might also use esences and herbs too). By appointment.
